Coaching . Consulting
-
Let’s start by saying that coaching is NOT therapy, mentoring, or consulting. With coaching you’re the expert in your own life or business or crisis, and have the answers to your challenges. Coaches facilitate the process of discovery, new thinking and new approaches to advance your goal attainment.
-
It helps to have a meaningful goal in mind that is SMART (significant, measurable, achievable, realistic, and time-bound) when you engage with our practice. That said, coaching can be used to find clarity on goals. You’ll review expectations of your role as a coachee, included in the agreement you’ll sign with your coach, since you’ll be doing the work and creating your own action steps.
-
Coaching sessions are based on one hour, and should be at least 30 minutes to be impactful. In addition, at least 4 sessions are recommended to allow time to work through and take action on goals. Sessions with organizations and groups will vary based on their goals, crisis, or scope of work.
-
Consulting involves investigation, assessment, problem solving, and solutions. Every project has its own scale of interviews, observation, product and process review, reporting, and creation. It helps to start with as much clarity and documentation on your challenges, opportunities, and goals as possible.
-
Consulting is when we use our expertise, experience, skills, and talents to help our clients solve a problem. We’ll help them assess the present, envision the future, and clarify a path to get there with strategic planning. With consulting, we’ll often create tools, processes, training, new practices, and may even manage a project in the CEO/COO/Chief of Staff portfolio, to advance the client’s goal achievement.
-
Consulting helps solve a problem for leaders in organizations using our expertise; while coaching helps change behaviors that improve, correct, upskill, and allow leaders to better handle problems in the future. Both are helpful for meaningful change.

Each client has a unique and specific challenge and opportunity, and therefore a unique contractual agreement. All clients can pay with a link on the YOUR NEXT HARVEST website.

Several conditions must be met to accept new clients. The coach-client relationship should be one of compatibility; we must feel able to support the client’s needs; and our schedule must make us available for working with the client. Sometimes it’s not possible to meet all of these expectations, and we are not able to accommodate a customer’s request.
